Reorganizing the site into Categories
Over the past few months, I have grown frustrated with the organization of this site. It contains a wide array of content, but all of it felt tacked on. I want to write more, but the "system" was a demotivator. So I spent some time the past few days reorganizing everything.
I've honed the concept of "Categories" and organized all of the existing content into one of the four:
- Articles: Tech-focused guides, resources, and opinions
- Blog: General or personal ideas and posts
- Games: Posts about board, card, and party games
- RPGs: Resources and thoughts about table-top role-playing games
Part of the reorgnization involed removing old categories. Articles absorbed Resources. Blog spun off from Articles, "Web", and "Local". Games replaced "Board Games", and RPGs replaced "Adventure Games"[1].
Each Category now has a dedicated page that can be customized to meet its needs. I'm particularly excited to build out the RPGs category with more content and a tailored experience.
Part of the reorganization involved deleting old and low-quality Articles. I don't think they will be missed, but there may be some hiccups in your RSS reader.
I still prefer this title, but it wasn't common enough to justify ↩︎
